Tyrol is part of the Austrian heartland and belongs to Austria since 1336. The territory of Tyrol came under the rule of the counts of Tyrol in the 12th century and was named after the royal seat of the counts the village Tirol in today's Italian Southern Tyrol. In 1809 during the Napoleonic Wars Tyrol was split up between Bavaria, Italy and France and returned to Austria after the victory over Napoleon in 1814. After the end of World War I more than one third of the territory of Tyrol fell to Italy (Southern Tyrol).

    darbo Darbo Fruchtreich

It is in the nature of things that 70% fruit content tastes 100% better.

More fruit, less sugar - the Darbo secret for lots of flavour and fewer calories. Give Darbo All Natural Fruchtreich with 70% fruit content a try.

It was 1879, when Rudolf Darbo laid the foundations for his "fruit steamery" in Gorizia (now in Italy by the Slovenian border), he created what is now one of the most successful companies in Austria's history. Some 50 years later, his son, Adolf Darbo, relocated the company in the Tyrolean village of Stans, concentrating his efforts producing quality syrups and bottling honey.

After World War II and the subsequent rise in tourism, demand for preserves and honey rose particularly in the catering trade, and Darbo gradually grew to become the number one supplier in this sector. Guests from near and far were now able to find out for themselves just how good unadulterated nature tastes.
