If you want to travell from Upper Austria the direct direct way to Carinthia, you have to take the street through "Hohen Tauern". A lovely path over the mountains. The mountain street starts after Trieben and you come out before Judenburg. You see a wonderful scenery, idyllically countryside in the mountains, and you save the money for the toll, you would have to pay if you would take the motorway.
Before you reach Judenburg, you must pass a little village called "Pöls". There you must turn to the right and go into the Scheifling/Neumarkt/Friesach direction. In the middle of your way you will pass a little village called Unzmarkt which is worth to stay for a little rest. It's a peaceful village with long history and a lot of green around.
Unzmarkt has 1.700 inhabitants.

Es gibt einen direkten Weg um von Oberösterreich nach Kärnten zu gelagen. Dazu muss man bei Trieben die Autobahn verlassen, und hinter dem Ort die Strasse über die "Hohen Tauern" nehmen. Ein wunderschöne Alpenstrasse quer durch die Berge. Eine bezaubernde Landschaft mit idyllischem Landleben in den Alpen prägt das Bild. Ausserdem erspart man sich die Maut auf der Autobahn.
Die Alpenstrasse endet im Bezirk Judenburg, vor der Stadt Judenburg, muss man aber nach dem Ort "Pöls" Ausschau halten um hier den Weg in die Richtung "Scheifling/Neumarkt/Friesach" einzuschlagen. In der Mitte des Weges kommt man an dem Ort Unzmarkt vorbei. Ein kleines ruhiges Dorf in dem es sich zu rasten lohnt mit viel Grün rundherum.
Unzmarkt hat etwa 1.700 Einwohner, und wurde 1342 das erste Mal urkundlich erwähnt.
